What Will It Cost?

Skip the reading, just Get To The Point

We aren't the least expensive, nor are we the most expensive. It's likely you can find another SEO company who charges less and we certainly encourage anyone looking into SEO for the first time to look around and talk to several companies. Our prices are based on the amount of effort needed to drive traffic to a website.

That's why we don't exactly have "packages" that bundle different services into various sets of standard offerings. SEO isn't the same for everyone, regardless of what anyone has ever told you. Don't get me wrong, you certainly can perform the same actions on several different sites and achieve results. However, depending upon the current visibility of a website, some tasks may not be necessary, or, may simply require less effort. On the same note, fierce competition can require much more effort.

Our Approach

We look at every site individually and make an evaluation of it's current standings. Does the site have a Page Ranking? How many inbound links does it have? Does the site use technology that creates a stumbling block for search engines? How competitive is the industry? and so on.

We also evaluate it for Conversion to Sales. Does the site have enough Calls to Action to encourage site visitors to convert into a lead or sale? Is the content of the site engaging and appropriately written? Does the site have a method for capturing contact information?

Once you have traffic coming to your site you want to see those visitors make purchases, download data, or leave the contact information. All of these actions produce sales, create in-house marketing lists, and generates leads. Your website should work for you. It should generate a positive return on your investment.

You can't do that for a client with a package. Each must be seen as unique and evaluated for the true needs of the site.

What You Can Expect to Pay

While each site is individual, most can be done for between $1,800 and $3,800, depending on size, current visibility, competition, and conversion to sales potential.

Once a site is optimized, most clients opt for a monthly maintenance plan to increase and/or maintain results. Monthly maintenance services range from $500 to $750, depending upon services requested by the client.

That's it. There's nothing else after that. Once a site has been optimized, it's now simply a matter of continually adding new content, monitoring keyword popularity and competition, increasing link popularity and so on, which is where your monthly services will come in.

What's Involved

An initial optimization project involves several steps. Following is a breakdown of some of the basic tasks required to optimize a site properly.

Keyword Research

  • Includes research, discovery, and selection of targeted keywords and phrases.
  • In order to drive the maximum amount of traffic to the site, each page of the site will specifically target different keywords. Each page will be analyzed to determine which of the selected keywords is most appropriate for the page.

Competitive Analysis

  • This is research and analysis of your online competitors. This process helps determine who has top ranking positions on the search engines and what they are doing (or not doing) to get there.
  • Knowing who your competitors are and what they're doing provides the foundational information necessary for mapping out a strategy to outperform your competitors and gain valuable market share.

Content Enhancement

  • This phase is one of the 2 most important factors considered by search engines and involves analyzing and modifying existing content. During this phase, we will make recommendations about placement, adding new, or even removing existing content.
  • The most important part of this step is positioning the selected keywords and phrases within the content of the site in a strategic and search engine friendly manner. Each page will be run through a process of mathematical calculations to determine where and how often each keyword should be placed as well as how much content should be included on the page.
  • Search engines consider factors like frequency, prominence, and link text when listing pages in their index. Simply placing keywords within the content is not enough.
  • Important Note: The search engines calculate how often a keyword appears in each of the pages content against how many total words there are on the page. Many times it is necessary to create new content to obtain effective page optimization. In the event new content is needed, the customer will have the option of writing their own material, or requesting additional services. Additional content is not included in this estimate of effort and would need to be quoted at the time of discovery.

Code Enhancement

  • Code writing is an essential part of creating a search engine friendly web site. Each page will be analyzed for Title, H1, Description, and Meta tags to ensure proper usage and setup for each HTML tag.
  • Page Titles and Descriptions will be written to target the selected keywords identified during the Keyword Research and Analysis phase.
  • The Keyword Meta tags will also be updated with the final selection of keywords.
  • Additionally, each page will be analyzed for missing tags, unnecessary nested tags, and general HTML code cleanup to ensure the coding will allow the search engine spiders to crawl the site effectively.

Link Popularity

  • This phase is one of the 2 most important factors considered by search engines. Link popularity is the number of inbound links coming to your site (inbound links are links pointing to you from other sites). External links can have a substantial impact on your ability to achieve and maintain prominent positioning for your desired keywords.
  • A link popularity campaign should be implemented on an ongoing, monthly basis and should consist of 50% of the time spent on SEO.
  • We use a proven method of building link popularity.

Create an XML Sitemap

  • This is a stand alone page (not linked from anywhere in the site, strictly for search engine use only). This file contains code that tells Google how important each page of your site is, how often the page is updated, and how often to revisit the page.
  • This is important for getting Google to index (recognize) all the pages in your site and is highly effective for getting the site noticed.

Web Analytics and Ongoing Maintenance 3 - 6 Hours / Month

  • Search Engine Optimization is not a one-off task and does not produce overnight results. We work with clients on a monthly basis providing reports to support ad spending through ROI analysis, identifying potential site navigation problems, and discovering opportunities to increase conversion and gain market share. Analyzing web traffic is a very important part of improving Internet visibility and site conversion rates.
